Grandmother’s Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients:

Mazola oil

2 large Vidalia Onions

2 lb ground beef

1 large can Contadina tomato paste

4 cans of Contadina tomato sauce (14 oz)

1/4 c. granulated sugar

Garlic powder

Oregano

2 lbs uncooked spaghetti

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Chop onions in a chopper.  Sautee in small amount of Mazola oil.
  2. Add ground beef and simmer until well cooked.
  3. Mix tomato paste in equal amount of water and add to meat mixture.  Simmer.
  4. Add sugar.  Simmer.
  5. Add tomato sauce.  Simmer.
  6. Add garlic powder and oregano too taste.  Simmer for at least one hour.

This makes enough sauce for 2 lb of uncooked spaghetti.  Freeze 1/2 and only make one pound of uncooked spaghetti.  This way you have a quick meal in the freezer
